Höpinää EP is a collection of "trance ballads". It goes deeper into the glistening arpeggios and melodramatic chords of my earlier songs, but strips away everything else. Just the basics: a concoction of shimmering synths, airy vocals and the occasional sound effect, and not much more.

"Höpinää" is a Finnish word for idle chit chat, palavering. Something that's often perceived as meaningless, hollow. Maybe that's sometimes true. Yet, aimless talk belies knowledge often difficult to unearth otherwise. You can't force wisdom, not from yourself, not from others. Talk enough about nothing in particular, though, and you just might pick up on something.

Consider this release chit chat - höpinää - about squirrels, history, framing, daily life, snow, magic, time, TV series, roots, change, and all manner of useless moments.
